ART

Art-making is another form of enquiry and another way of practicing and pursuing a state of peace.

The plants speak both of abundance and loss. Ghostly white images left by printing with dried plants, parched of water and pressed.

The hexagrams are symbols from the I-Ching (book of changes) a 2,000 year old Chinese oracle. The maps and patterns are repetitious guides, like a mantra, another everyday practice which helps untangle knots and find a way through.

Specimens, 2022. Found in St Mary’s Churchyard, Radcliffe. Printed on Fabriano 39 cm x 51cm
